Position: Civil Leading Hand
Multiple locations; Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast + Gold Coast

Job Description:
We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Civil Leading Hands to join our clients teams on a permanent basis. As a Civil Leading Hand, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and supervising construction projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget and on schedule. This is a hands-on position that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.

Working within: Sub divisions, pipe crews, roads

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and tradespeople.
• Coordinate project activities, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Interpret and implement project plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the construction process.
• Conduct regular site inspections and provide progress reports to the project manager.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise on-site promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Operating plant and on the ground when required

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Civil Leading Hand or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in using construction software and tools.
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
• Machine operating tickets & construction white card required
