Are you an experienced estimator with a deep understanding of concrete and reinforcement systems? We’re seeking a skilled Commercial Estimator to join our team and help us deliver high-quality concrete flooring and reinforced structural elements on time and within budget.

Your Role:

As a Commercial Estimator, you’ll be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates for concrete floors and reinforcement structures, collaborating with project stakeholders from initial bidding through final contract award. This work will mainly involved in Commercial Projects across the Melbourne Metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities:

Analise architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and scope documents

Calculate quantities and costs for materials, labor, equipment, and formwork

Prepare detailed take-offs for concrete slabs, rebar, mesh reinforcement, and finishing work

Request and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes

Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and value-engineering options

Work closely with the project team to ensure estimates align with construction realities

Maintain cost databases and unit pricing for future bids

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience estimating structural concrete and reinforcement systems

Solid understanding of reinforced concrete design, formwork systems, and placement methods

Proficiency with estimating and take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, Revit, PlanSwift, or similar)

Experience in the setting up of new systems, software etc.

Familiarity with ACI codes and structural engineering best practices

Strong math, analytical, and communication skills

Ability to interpret complex structural plans and work under tight deadlines
