About the position
Lyra is searching for a dynamic Business Development Manager in the Sydney, NSW market. As the Business Development Manager reporting to the CEO, you will play a critical role in driving new business growth and revenue generation. You will focus on identifying and closing opportunities for Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) and Professional Services, contributing directly to the success of the Sales team and the organization’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
· Working closely with the CEO to actively align to the sales strategy and achieve organizational targets.
· Identifying new business opportunities and prospecting for clients in the IT managed services market, focusing primarily on SMB and mid-market clients.
· Conducting client meetings to understand their needs and presenting tailored solutions based on company offerings.
· Building and maintaining strong relationships with potential clients and leveraging CRM tools for pipeline management.
· Collaborating with the Marketing team to align campaigns and strategies to drive lead generation and client engagement.
· Drafting proposals and agreements, negotiating terms, and delivering profitable contracts aligned with sales plans.
· Tracking and reporting on individual targets, pipeline progress, and conversion rates to the CEO and Leadership team.
· Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
· Attend relevant industry events where required, to build networks and relationships.
People Engagement
· Participating in Level 10 meetings and weekly sync meetings to uphold EOS principles and align strategies.
· Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure consistency in client experience.
· Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to address any post-sale inquiries or issues effectively.
· Participating in training and mentoring opportunities to enhance your technical and sales skills.
· Maintaining interpersonal skills to build long-lasting relationships with clients, teammates, and vendors.
Requirements

Technical Skills
· Proven experience in a revenue-focused role within a professional services business, with a track record of exceeding revenue targets.
· Must maintain an up to date understanding of the Microsoft technology stack that is recommended to clients, ensuring that new industry developments and company initiatives are researched and understood, and can be leveraged for the benefit of the sales process.
· Understanding of the sales life cycle and consultative selling approaches.
· Knowledge of technical products and services within the IT managed services domain.
· Strong communication and negotiation skills.
· Strong Commercial acumen – with a key focus on delivering results in pipeline, sale, and forecasting.
· Strong Opportunity management and conversion rates.
· Outstanding networking ability.
· CRM superstar – you will be highly proficient in managing leads, pipeline, and client relationships.
Compensation
· $120,000-$150,000 with a generous commission structure.
