The Role
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a crucial hands-on role in managing the day-to-day operations of a busy warehouse operation overseeing a small team. You will lead by example, managing the internal and external movement of incoming and outgoing materials, components and products within the facility while ensuring that impeccable safety standards are upheld while maintaining inventory accuracy. This is a full-time position with hours of work being 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday in a modern and well organised facility located in the Penrith area.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee and undertake receiving, put away and distribution of components and materials within the warehouse
· Retrieve and transfer items internally for manufacturing
· Coordinate stock allocation and transfers between interstate warehouses.
· Competent operation of high reach and counterbalance forklift
· Adhere to and enforce operational policies and procedures.
· Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.
· Utilising and updating Inventory system (SAGE)
· Identify and implement improvements to operational efficiency.
· Oversee and guide warehouse staff.
· Ensure a clean and safe workplace.
· Participate in rolling stock counts and inventory control.
· Daily inspections of the warehouse facility.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Previous leadership / supervisory experience in a busy warehouse ideally within a manufacturing environment
· Certificate III in Warehousing (Preferred)
· Current NSW forklift license with high reach operation experience. (Essential)
· Strong communication and people skills
· Ability to take ownership of the warehouse operation
· Continuous improvement mind-set
· Previous experience with Inventory control
· Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
· Computer skills with MS Office (including Excel) and proficiency in using inventory management system.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Solid understanding of safety procedures and policies.
