As the primary point of contact in the automation control room of a highly automated warehouse, you’ll play a key role in maintaining clear, professional communication between the operations team and our technical recovery specialists. Reporting to the Shift Operations 2IC, you’ll be responsible for sharing system updates, monitoring system performance, supporting recovery activities, and liaising with both on-site teams and remote Swisslog Support. You’ll also be using reporting tools to log incidents and support system maintenance tracking.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the main point of communication in the control room, ensuring smooth coordination between Operations team and Recovery team.
Monitor automated systems in real time, assist with diagnosing issues, and support recovery efforts alongside maintenance teams.
Collaborate with recovery teams and remote technical support to resolve faults and optimize system uptime.
Record incidents, track system performance, and prepare reports through customer platforms.
Keep operational teams informed with timely, relevant updates and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
Uphold safety standards, assist in audit preparation, and actively promote a strong safety culture.
Identify technical or process issues, coordinate solutions, and ensure thorough documentation.
Foster positive working relationships across operations, technical services, and external support.
Assist in initiatives aimed at minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity.
Lead incident escalations, manage service tickets, and oversee recovery coordination.
Keep detailed records of system performance, breakdowns, and resolutions.
Respond swiftly to alarms or disruptions, ensuring appropriate follow-up with the necessary teams.
Manage, group, and release customer orders, ensuring efficient coordination across departments.
About You:
Previous experience in a technical role, preferably in an automated warehouse or similar environment.
Confident working with and monitoring automated systems or machinery.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
Exposure to automated control systems is an advantage.
Qualifications in IT, Engineering, or related technical disciplines are desirable.
Comfortable using system monitoring tools, ticketing software, and reporting systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and accuracy.
