About the role

As the Head Chef at Bluey's Smokehouse located within Cardiff RSL Club, you will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen operations, creating exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests. In this full-time role, you will be based in our modern kitchen located in Cardiff, NSW 2285.

What you'll be doing

Oversee all kitchen operations and ensure the efficient and smooth running of the kitchen

Develop and implement creative and innovative menus that showcase your culinary expertise

Manage, mentor and develop a team of talented chefs and cooks

Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation and service

Monitor and control kitchen budgets and inventory

Liaise with front-of-house staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience

Maintain strict compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

Extensive experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a similar hospitality environment

Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing kitchen teams

Exceptional culinary skills with the ability to create innovative and delicious dishes

Strong understanding of food costing, inventory management and budget control

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff and customers

Experience with meat smoking techniques is highly desirable

Ability to work collaboratively with management to achieve business goals and maintain operational excellence

Commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards

Formal culinary qualifications or training, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
