O’Ryans Belt Discretionary Trust is expanding and we're looking for a strategic and experienced Human Resource Manager to lead and develop our HR operations during an exciting phase of growth.

Nestled beside beautiful Tooway Lake, our resort offers spacious accommodation, lush gardens, heated pools, and exceptional guest experiences. Now, we're focused on building a high-performing internal team to support our vision.

About the Role

This is a strategic leadership position where you will oversee the full scope of HR functions, including workforce planning, compliance, recruitment, staff development, performance management, and employee relations.

You'll report directly to senior leadership and support the business through best-practice people management, policy development, and effective workplace strategies.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and deliver HR strategies that align with the resort’s operational goals and help support our continued business growth.

· Partner with Director to recruit, onboard and retain top-tier staff who reflect our values and commitment to guest service.

· Lead the development of staff training and professional development programs that enhance team capability and elevate the guest experience.

· Establish clear performance frameworks that support regular feedback, goal setting and team recognition.

· Provide guidance on employee relations matters and actively support a positive, respectful and inclusive workplace culture.

· Manage employment terms and staff conditions, including award interpretation, contract compliance and salary reviews.

· Ensure legal compliance across all HR functions, including workplace health and safety, equal opportunity and Fair Work obligations.

· Support any necessary organisational changes, including redundancy or role transitions, with transparency and compassion.

· Monitor HR metrics such as staffing levels, labour costs and productivity to help inform operational decision-making.

· Coordinate the engagement of contractors and temporary staff during peak periods or work shortages, ensuring appropriate onboarding, compliance and performance expectations are met.

· Coach and mentor supervisors and managers on people leadership, communication and staff wellbeing.

What We're Looking For

· Minimum 5 years of HR experience.

· Demonstrated experience at a strategic decision-making level in human resources.

· Proven ability to lead performance improvement initiatives and support operational growth.

· Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

· Previous experience in hospitality or service-based industries is highly regarded.
