Salary: AUD 75,000 - AUD 80,000 per annum

Full Time Position: Approximately 38 hours per week.

The Sienna Marina Restaurant & Bar is looking for an experienced Chef to become part of its vibrant team in Woolloomooloo, NSW 2011. The successful candidate should bring proven culinary expertise and a strong passion for creating tasty, high-quality meals. The position involves various duties focused on food preparation, cooking, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing and cooking a diverse range of meals.

Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and managing inventory and supply orders.

Monitoring the quality of dishes during preparation and final presentation.

Working closely with managers, dietitians, and kitchen and service staff to coordinate food preparation activities.

Showcasing cooking techniques and offering instruction on food preparation methods.

Maintaining strict hygiene practices and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.

Recruiting, training, and supervising kitchen personnel.

Preserving and freezing food items as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

A minimum of one or more years of culinary experience in preparing dishes in a commercial setting.

Certificate IV in Kitchen Management/ Commercial cookery or equivalent.

Thorough understanding of health and safety standards in the kitchen, including food handling and sanitation practices.

Proficient in culinary techniques and adept in operating kitchen equipment and tools.

Meticulous in food preparation and presentation, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality dishes.

Capable of interpreting recipes and menu plans accurately and creatively.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented kitchen environment.

Good physical stamina, capable of working in a fast-paced kitchen and standing for long hours.
