About Our Client
Our client is a nationally recognised provider of industrial automation components and systems, partnering with the world's leading technology manufacturers. Their solutions support major operations across manufacturing, mining, energy, food & beverage, and utilities. Known for their agility, technical expertise, and commitment to service, they have built a strong local reputation for delivering quality and reliability.
Due to ongoing growth, they are now seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join their Queensland team. This is a pivotal role focused on expanding client partnerships and driving solution-based sales across an impressive portfolio of automation and engineering products.
About The Role
As the BDM, you will identify new opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and collaborate with internal experts to deliver tailored solutions. You’ll work with customers across manufacturing, food & beverage, renewables, and utilities—bringing value through premium technology and trusted expertise.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead new business development and manage a defined client portfolio
Sell across a diverse product range including motion control, pneumatics, sensors, and control systems
Build long-term relationships and expand customer account value
Collaborate with engineering teams to scope and present tailored solutions
Represent the company at trade shows, demos, and client events
Maintain CRM activity and support sales strategy and forecasting
About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
Strong track record in technical or solution-based B2B sales
Experience across industrial automation, manufacturing, or engineering (highly regarded)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence across all levels
Solid technical aptitude—ideally with exposure to automation, electrical, or mechatronic systems
A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a strategic approach to business development
Salary & Benefits
$95,000 to $115,000 + Super + Car Allowance + Commissions
