Exciting food destination Ruben’s Deli is looking for a talented, Sous chef to join the team.
Ruben’s is an upmarket, super modern delicatessen in a beautiful store befitting fashionable High St and one of Melbourne’s most exclusive suburbs, Armadale. We've quickly become known for our cool made-to-order sandwiches (named Melbourne's best Reuben), fish display,(uniquely smoking, curing and hand slicing all our own fish and meat in our own custom smoker) incredible salads, baked goods and glamorous catering offer.
The emphasis is on fresh, seasonal , modern ,high-quality food all made on site.
We’re looking for a passionate, focused sous chef with great leadership skills and their finger on the pulse who can help run the kitchen and deliver beautifully presented, seasonal food to our customers.
There is plenty of room for creativity for the right candidate. Experience with New York inspired and European flavours is preferred but not essential. Ideally you will have experience in a busy, high-end kitchen, restaurant or fabulous catering company.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with staff and operations management, recipes and menu development. This role is ideal for an ambitious candidate who is looking to be part of a young, successful business as it grows and have a work life balance.
