Job Description:
As a Sous Chef , you will be an integral part of our kitchen brigade, overseeing all sections of the kitchen to ensure the preparation and presentation of our signature steak dishes meet the highest standards. You will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain consistent quality, manage your section efficiently, and contribute to an outstanding culinary experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a section of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation and presentation of steaks and side dishes are of the highest quality.

Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain consistency across all dishes.

Work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, ensuring all orders are completed in a timely manner.

Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.

Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly stored.

Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Collaborate with the Head Chef to create seasonal menus and specials.

Ensure cleanliness and organisation in your work area.

Requirements:

Proven experience as Sous Chef or in a similar role, ideally in a steakhouse or high-end restaurant.

Strong knowledge of meat preparation, cooking techniques, and steak cuts.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Passionate about food with a keen eye for detail and presentation.

Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
