The Role
Conduct workplace inspections and take enforcement action when health and safety laws are breached.
Gather evidence, prepare prosecution reports, make recommendations about prosecutions and present evidence in court as required.
Coach and mentor less experienced team members on more complex/sensitive issues which may include the investigation of fatalities and serious injuries.
Coordinate and/or participate in a range of projects.
Participate in the development of legislation, policy and systems and facilitates continuous improvement.
Promote WHS, deliver presentations and provide information to organisations/industries and contribute towards implementation of good practice.
Undertake occasional travel, work in remote areas and occasionally work outside normal business hours as required.
Qualifications & Licenses
Diploma or higher Occupational, Safety and Health qualification or equivalent relevant WHS experience.
