This is a rare opportunity for a talented Sous Chef ready to take the next step, or an experienced Head Chef looking for a creative and personal role in one of Melbourne’s most respected small venues.

About the Role

Full-time position with a strong work-life balance

Lead the kitchen for a 35-seat restaurant (plus 25 alfresco seats in summer)

Oversee event catering for groups of 30–60 in our adjacent venue space

Drive menu design, prep, ordering, staff management, and cost control

Work closely with venue owners and FOH team to deliver outstanding experiences

About You

A Sous Chef with leadership potential or a current Head Chef with a passion for small venues

Confident managing all aspects of kitchen operations

Creative, reliable, and quality-focused

Experienced in Spanish, Mediterranean or European cuisine

Calm under pressure and a positive team player

Strong communication and organisational skills
