The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join our growing team. This is a critical role within our estimating department, responsible for ensuring that quotations are timely, accurate, and aligned with client expectations and project profitability. As we continue to expand, the estimator’s role plays a vital part in helping us achieve our growth targets and deliver outstanding service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and present detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial stonework projects.

Interpret architectural and construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Collaborate with internal teams (drafting, production, project management) to ensure seamless project handovers.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather up-to-date pricing for materials and services.

Perform site assessments (where required) to better understand scope and variables.

Identify project risks, pricing assumptions, and margin opportunities.

Maintain and update estimating tools, templates, and databases.

Follow up on quotes issued and assist in converting leads into confirmed jobs.

Assist with ongoing pricing strategy reviews and provide input into continuous improvement.

Requirements:

2–5 years of experience in a stonemasonry, joinery, or construction estimating role (stone industry preferred but not essential).

Proven ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.

Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional client correspondence.

Strong proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and quoting software (experience with Odoo ERP is a bonus).

Ability to work autonomously and within a fast-paced team.

Desirable (but not essential)

Degree or qualification in Construction Management, Estimating, Architecture, Engineering, or similar.

Experience quoting kitchens, bathrooms, floors, walls, fireplaces, and/or architectural detailing in stone.

Familiarity with natural stone types (e.g., marble, quartzite, granite, travertine, onyx, limestone).

Experience quoting based on site measures and factory capacity.
