The Role
We’re looking for a reliable, mechanically-minded Parts Interpreter / Service Administrator to join our growing team. This is a key support role where your organisation and communication skills will directly influence workshop productivity and customer satisfaction.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating parts, booking jobs, invoicing, and handling customer enquiries. You'll work closely with technicians and clients to keep jobs flowing smoothly — reliability and attention to detail are essential.

Rostered Hours – 72.4 hrs per fortnight (Permanent Part-Time)

Week 1: Mon–Thurs, 8:00 AM–4:06 PM (Friday off = 3-day weekend)

Week 2: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:06 PM + Sat, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Every second weekend is a long weekend off.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret, order, and manage parts accurately

Schedule and update bookings using workshop software

Generate invoices and maintain job records

Liaise with customers and suppliers

Communicate clearly with technicians to support job flow

Track and maintain stock, returns, and usage records

What You’ll Need

Experience in a mechanical admin or parts interpreter role

Strong mechanical understanding (light or heavy vehicle)

Proficient in Excel and job management software

A current driver’s licence

Excellent attention to detail and time management

Strong communication and customer service skills

A dependable, proactive attitude — you set the pace for others

Desirable

Experience with MechanicDesk

Truck or fleet workshop background

Familiarity with QLD roadworthy or COI requirements

Remuneration
