About us headspace provides support to young people aged 12-25 experiencing mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues. The multidisciplinary team at headspace Wollongong work to improve health, social, vocational and educational outcomes for young people. Grand Pacific Health is the lead agency of headspace Wollongong. We are a not-for-profit, primary health care organisation providing locally-tailored, high quality physical and mental health services across NSW and the ACT. About the position The Community Engagement Officer takes a lead role in promoting and enhancing understanding of the services offered at headspace Wollongong as well as mental health through the coordination of community awareness activities. Together with the Service Manager, the Community Engagement Officer will represent the Centre at community forums and events as well as develop local partnerships that ensure the Centre is an integrated part of the youth health and wellbeing sector. The position will also lead the Centres approach to youth participation. This position is full time, fixed term until 30 June 2026 with the possibility for extension. Full-time positions have the opportunity to enjoy a Rostered Day Off each month. We are looking for someone with:

• Have an interest, passion and experience working with young people
• Commitment to delivering activities in partnership with headspace partner agencies
• Demonstrated skill in delivering evidence informed community engagement activities that increase community awareness and reduce barriers to care for young people
• A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, and/or extensive experience in community development, health promotion, public health, social sciences or education.
