At GPH, our expertise spans across youth mental health, psychosocial supports, suicide prevention, after-care services, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and community-based aged care. Our teams work collaboratively to ensure that individuals receive comprehensive and culturally appropriate care tailored to their unique needs, fostering healthier communities and enhancing quality of life. We are looking for a Program Officer to join our Aged Care team. The Program Officer, Aged Care provides high-level support for the development, implementation and delivery of aged care services across Home Care Packages (HCP), the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), and the emerging Support at Home Program (SaHP). This role supports program development, quality improvement, data management, and care planning activities while contributing to the efficient and compliant day-to-day functioning of the aged care team.The position plays a key role in enhancing program coordination, client service experience, and organisational readiness for aged care reform. Based in Queanbeyan, this position is a full-time opportunity, available to 30 June 2026, with the possibility of extension. Full-time positions have the option to enjoy a Rostered Day Off each month. We are looking for someone with:

  1. Minimum Certificate III in Business Administration, Aged Care, Community Services or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in program or service support roles, ideally in aged care or community health settings.
  3. Sound understanding of aged care programs and systems including HCP, CHSP, and the upcoming SaHP reforms.
  4. Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care planning and service coordination approaches.
