Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Site Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale industrial infrastructure builds. The role involves managing the full lifecycle of steel construction projects — from scoping, budgeting, and RFQs, through to offshore fabrication and on-site steel erection. A background in steel fabrication and erection is desirable but construction experience is adequate.

Contract Summary

Salary: $130-160,000 package

Work Model: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Brisbane, Queensland

Responsibilities

Oversee complete project lifecycle from client brief through to handover, focusing on industrial steel erection.

Liaise directly with clients to define project requirements, budget constraints, timelines, and deliverables.

Develop project scopes, manage budgets, and prepare RFQs for suppliers and subcontractors.

Coordinate offshore steel fabrication, ensuring production aligns with engineering and quality standards.

Manage logistics and scheduling of prefabricated steel components to site.

Interface with design, procurement, and site management teams to ensure cohesive delivery.

Monitor and report on project milestones, risks, and financial performance.

Ensure all work is delivered to compliance, safety, and quality standards.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience managing large infrastructure projects involving steel fabrication and erection.

Familiarity with offshore manufacturing coordination and logistics.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manage technical specifications.

Experience managing construction schedules, budgets, RFQs, and subcontractor performance.

Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent are advantageous.
