Program | Project Managers (TSV)

We are looking for experienced Program | Project Managers to join our Townsville team. In this role, you will oversee multiple projects from initiation to completion, taking full responsibility for project management, planning, programming, budgets, and cost control.

You will act as the primary client contact, maintaining clear, high-level communication with all stakeholders. Leading project teams, you will assign tasks and responsibilities, provide guidance and support, and regularly update the Managing Director and team members on project status, changes, and risks.

Your role will ensure all projects comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards throughout the entire project lifecycle.

The key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Manage multiple projects simultaneously across planning, design, and delivery phases

Oversee and control project budgets, timelines, resourcing, and cost tracking

Prepare project programs and schedules, and monitor progress against deliverables

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders

Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, assigning responsibilities and monitoring performance

Provide clear and timely updates to the General Manager and key stakeholders on project progress, risks, and changes

Ensure all projects are delivered in accordance with PlanPac’s Integrated Business Management System (IBMS), meeting quality, safety, and environmental standards

Participate in business development activities and support the identification of new project opportunities

Ensure all documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle

To be successful, you will have:

Proven experience in managing and delivering multiple complex infrastructure or development projects from inception through to completion

Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams across multiple project phases

Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a client-focused mindset

High-level financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost management

Strong understanding of contract administration, and compliance processes

Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Total Synergy, or equivalent

Excellent problem-solving and risk management abilities

In-depth knowledge of WHS, environmental, and quality assurance standards

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel

Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline

Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic environments with competing priorities and deadlines

BID Manager (TSV)

We are looking for an experienced and high-level Bid Manager to join our growing team based in Townsville. This is a key leadership position responsible for managing end-to-end bid processes, supporting business development, and driving strategic growth across our infrastructure, design, and construction projects in the Pacific region.

As the Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our success by:

Leading the full bid lifecycle – from identifying opportunities, through Expressions of Interest (EOIs), to tender submission, contract award, and handover to delivery teams.

Preparing high-quality, compelling bid documentation and proposal submissions that clearly articulate value propositions and align with win strategies.

Supporting internal approvals through briefing packs and stakeholder engagement.

Contributing to market sounding and tender response strategies.

Ensuring legal, commercial, and compliance reviews are completed across all submissions.

Maintaining accurate records of bid activity, volume tracking, and engagement logs.

Collaborating with internal teams (Pre-contracts, Estimating, Submissions) to implement effective pursuit strategies.

Identifying and evaluating potential partnering opportunities.

Supporting the Managing Director and General Manager in fostering key client relationships and introducing new business opportunities.

To be successful, you will have:

A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

5+ years of proven experience in bid management, particularly within the capital works, infrastructure, or utilities sectors.

Strong track record of managing complex bids from inception to award.

A thorough understanding of contract delivery models and frameworks.

Exceptional communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.

High attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Bookkeeper (TSV)

We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Townsville. Working closely with the Finance Manager, this role is crucial in supporting financial operations across multiple entities within the business.

The key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Accounts Payable and Receivable: invoice processing, supplier payments, bank allocations, customer receipting, account follow-ups, and reconciliations

Daily receipting and entry of transactions across all Planpac entities

General ledger reconciliations including bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet items

Support month-end close including journal preparation, posting, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow)

Assist with payroll processing and resolve payroll enquiries in a timely manner

Set up new staff in Xero and SmoothPay

Assist in clearing backlog items and streamlining reconciliation and finance processes

Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures under Planpac’s Integrated Business Management System (IBMS)

To be successful, you will have:

Experience in a bookkeeping or assistant accountant role

The ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines with strong organisational and administrative skills

A motivated and energetic attitude, with the ability to effectively multi-task across a dynamic workload

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in engaging internal teams and external stakeholders

A strong commitment to teamwork, integrity, and contributing to a positive workplace culture

The ability to work respectfully and effectively in a cross-cultural environment, especially within the Pacific region

Proficiency in Xero, Microsoft Office Suite, and practice management systems (such as Total Synergy)

A sound understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes

Minimum 2 years of experience in a finance or bookkeeping role

A tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, or Finance (highly regarded)

Certificate IV in Bookkeeping (highly regarded)
