About the position
We’re looking for a strategic and experienced Project Manager to lead a major campus development in the Cairns CBD. You will manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and completion, operating in a client-side role. Read more about the project here.
You will oversee stakeholder engagement, procurement, contract administration, and risk management, while coordinating consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.

Position Requirements
Demonstrated experience leading major infrastructure projects (>$50M) through all phases—from design and tendering to construction, commissioning, and completion.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders including funding bodies, councils, consultants, and contractors to achieve project outcomes.
Sound knowledge of project management frameworks, with strong capabilities in scheduling, risk management, budgeting, and reporting.
Strong understanding of legislative requirements, including the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards, and local authority regulations.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, submissions, and tenders, and to negotiate effectively in complex stakeholder environments.
