THE ROLE

Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Practice Nurse plays a key role in delivering high quality, hands on care to patients within the community. This position involves conducting comprehensive health assessments, supporting a dynamic and fast paced general practice, and preparing care plans in collaboration with GPs. The nurse will also provide patient education and coaching to encourage positive health behaviours and create tailored action plans to help patients reach their health goals.

This role is ideal for a nurse with previous experience in a general practice setting, who is looking to take the next step in their career. There is strong potential for this position to evolve into a Team Lead role, offering opportunities for leadership, mentoring, and greater involvement in the development of clinical processes!

THE ESSENTIALS

• Full AHPRA registration without notation
• Full, unrestricted and ongoing working rights within Australia
• Previous experience within a General Practice
• An understanding of KPIs and how to implement improvements in practice
• The ability to support and mentor the learning of junior/graduate nurses or those new to practice nursing
• Excellent clinical skill and a respectful, professional bedside manner
• Strong communication skills to nurture relationships with patients, colleagues and GPs.
