Part Time Specialist Practice Medical Receptionist/admin support-Fitzroy, VIC 4-5 days per week.

We are an Endocrinology practice located centrally near St Vincent’s Hospital, at 55 Victoria Pde, Fitzroy

We have two consulting rooms, and there will a maximum of two doctors working in the rooms at a time or by remote access from home. We have three part time staff currently. We consider our practice to be friendly and pride ourselves on making patients and staff feel welcome. We are hoping to find someone who would like to stay in the long term.

We are seeking an experienced receptionist. This position is for 3-5 days per week (starting with 3 with leave cover adding extra days at times, and scope to go up to 4 next year) when you will work initially with one of our experienced receptionists.

The role involves:

Medical receptionist role, including telephone, email and in-person interactions. Booking appointments, checking emails and responding to patient queries.

sending outgoing letters (via electronic messaging and fax)

sorting mail and scanning results into patient files. Keeping office stationery and basic medical supplies/samples filled.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Previous experience in a Specialist Medical Practice

Preference given to applicants who have experience with Genie

A professional approach to work, with exceptional customer care and service skills

Well-developed time management skills and work efficiently under pressure.

Great organisation skills with a positive attitude.

Ability to work independently at the front desk and assist the team

Initiate trouble shooting with office technical problems

Maintain patient confidentiality

This is a permanent part time including Superannuation entitlements. The expected hours are 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. The salary is paid fortnightly with an up-to-date payslip.

A Police check is a mandatory requirement for this position.
