Our Education Engagement and Attainment Initiatives (EEAI) are central to improving school participation and long-term wellbeing for First Nations youth.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Program Coordinator to lead the delivery of the EEAI program. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a community-focused environment and is committed to making a lasting impact through education, cultural engagement, and holistic family support.
This is a contract-based full-time role with a competitive salary (based on experience). The position is based in Roebourne, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and implement educational and engagement activities in collaboration with schools and community stakeholders.
· Coordinate weekly and holiday programs, including logistics, staffing, and reporting.
· Manage budgets and ensure compliance with funding agreements.
· Supervise and support mentors and casual staff.
· Facilitate community consultation and feedback processes.
· Support daily school transport and ensure students are safely picked up and dropped off.
· Work closely with families to identify and address barriers to school attendance.
· Connect families with essential services such as Centrelink, medical care, housing, and other support networks.
· Monitor KPIs and prepare performance reports.
Desirable Experience
· Experience working in a remote or Aboriginal community setting.
· Experience delivering community workshops or educational programs.
Selection Criteria
· Demonstrated experience in program coordination or community development.
· Strong understanding of First Nations education and cultural engagement.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Experience in managing budgets and reporting.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
· Valid driver’s licence.
