Scheduling Officer – Community Aged Care
The Company
A highly respected community-based aged care provider delivering personalised, consumer-focused services across South Australia. With a commitment to quality, compliance, and compassion, this organisation is seeking a detail-oriented Scheduling Officer to support care delivery through effective rostering and workforce coordination.
The Role
As a Scheduling Officer, you’ll be responsible for rostering a team of support workers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of aged care services in the community. You’ll work closely with clients, families, and internal teams to align shifts with consumer preferences and workforce capacity, while maintaining compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant industrial awards.
Your ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and communicate effectively will be essential in maintaining a high-quality, person-centred service.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage day-to-day rostering for community support workers
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of schedule changes and updates
- Monitor workforce hours in line with award obligations and compliance
- Communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members regarding shift arrangements
- Maintain up-to-date databases and records using rostering systems (AlayaCare experience highly regarded)
- Assist with timesheet processing, reporting, and administrative tasks
- Support continuous improvement and contribute to team-based outcomes
You
- Previous experience in scheduling, rostering, or administrative roles in aged/community care or similar
- Strong time management, multitasking, and organisational skills
- High-level interpersonal and communication abilities
- Confident using Microsoft Office and rostering/customer management systems (AlayaCare preferred)
- Certificate II/IV in Business Administration (desirable) or equivalent experience
- Current DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
- Sound knowledge of SCHADS Award and Aged Care Quality Standards (advantageous)
