As an Administration Officer, you will specifically:
- Provide timely, high-quality advice and support to Youth Justice in relation to financial, human, and physical resources and activities.
- Provide administrative coordination and support in relation to Youth Justice activities, including record keeping, meeting minutes, planning forums, program development, management activities and quality reports and correspondence.
- Maintain effective administrative systems in Youth Justice, including systems relating to asset management, financial, human resource, performance reporting and business processes.
- Process rosters and manual pay entries into the SWEAP payroll system for all Co-Responder staff.
- Liaise with internal and external clients and stakeholders in relation to inquiries relevant to Youth Justice.
- Allocate, prioritise, and perform tasks in accordance with departmental procedures and financial and administrative delegations.
- Participate productively and collaboratively as a member of a team in delivering support and services to clients.
- Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Role specific/technical skills:
- You have the demonstrated ability to rapidly develop proficiency in organisational specific programs and databases.
- You have capacity to effectively communicate across teams and organisations, record concise and accurate minutes provide administrative support to enhance interagency collaboration.
- You have capacity to acquire basic knowledge of youth justice matters and the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other cultures.
Mandatory requirements:
- Drivers' license: it is a mandatory requirement for the occupant of this position to hold an unrestricted “C” Class driver's licence. Officers are required to drive government vehicles as a part of their day-to-day work.
- This role is designated as Regulated employment as the position provides support services to children and young people, and therefore will require a valid Blue Card to be linked with the organisation prior to starting.
