The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer Technician to join our team. This is a rare chance to combine your passion and knowledge with your technical skills whilst progressing your career.

Key responsibilities

Major duties and responsibilities of Mechanical Engineer Technician:

· Devise, create and assemble modified or new mechanical components for equipment and industrial machinery with CAD-based format

· Assisting the engineers with mechanical design and maintenance tasks.

· Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems.

· Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.

Assembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems

Estimating material costs and quantities, and machine requirements

· Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.

· Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records.

· Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.

· Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.

· Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.

· Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.

Requirements –

· Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related qualification with 2 years previous experience in a similar role.

· Able to work Independently, as well as with a team.

· Good organisational and communication skills

· Excellent communicator and analytical thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.

· High level of flexibility and a positive approach to the challenging demands of high-growth outcome

· Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Australia will be preferred.
