About the role
This is a leadership role for a commercially astute finance professional. Based at our Tullamarine head office, the Finance Manager will lead and support all core finance functions across Amphis, working closely with our leadership team to enable growth and enhance financial clarity.
You’ll lead a small team, overseeing everything from reconciliations and reporting to cash flow, budgeting, and controls. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building systems and driving improvements, with an eye on both the detail and the bigger picture.
What you’ll be doing
Lead the finance team (Bookkeeper and Accounts/Purchasing Officer)
Manage general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
Deliver month-end reporting on P&L and Balance Sheet
Review Superannuation, Work Cover, Payroll Tax, PAYG and BAS
Manage cash flow and liquidity for operations and strategic growth
Administer loan agreements and manage receivables
Build relationships across Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance
Maintain strong banking relationships
Deliver and manage annual budgets
Support the executive team in financial reporting and decision-making
Drive improvements to financial systems, processes, and controls
Oversee the preparation of Annual Tax Return and internal audits
Analyse sales data to identify trends and insights
Identify opportunities to maximize growth and profitability
What you’ll need
Experience in a finance leadership role, ideally in a product-based business
Strong Excel, financial reporting and budgeting skills
Experience with common accounting packages for SME’s
Experience managing cash flow, compliance, and cost control
An analytical, systems-thinking mindset
Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience with Australian compliance, tax, and reporting standards
Strong and proven track record of team management
Professional qualifications such as CPA or CA
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with unrestricted work rights
