SASREO is a steel manufacturing /prefabrication of concrete reinforcement cages who supply to the building and civil construction industry, currently in an exciting expansion phase and recognised as a leader in the construction industry.

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to work within a value – driven environment, who has good work ethic and initiative to effectively manage day-to-day accounting functions across the group of companies.

The Role

As the Financial Controller, reporting directly to the Company Director’s, you will be part of the leadership team that shapes how we grow by bringing structure, clarity and insight to the business. We’re looking for an exceptional Financial Controller someone with outstanding analytical and accounting expertise. In this role, you’ll be supported by a collaborative and dedicated team, and work closely with experienced senior management.

About You

· Approved Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency)

· Be CA or CPA Qualified with strong technical foundation and broad commercial accounting experience

· Strong Leadership qualities and the ability to build rapport with all members of the organisation

· Have a desire to constantly learn and develop yourself and others to help lead the organisation to excellence

· Have strong organisational, task-management and problem resolution skills

· Possess strong computer Skills, especially in MS Excel, Xero Accounting Software, Payroll Systems (EBA) experience is highly desirable

· Excellent analytical and problem -solving skills

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

· Proven experience in a manufacturing environment is essential

Your Responsibilities:

· Full Ownership of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Weekly Payroll and accurate time sheet data, Project Costing, Job Tracking, Inventory Management, Fixed Asset Management and Management reporting functions

· Manage the financial reporting for the organisation including monthly financial & management reporting and presentation of financial results and insights

· Focus on inventory management, production planning and factory initiatives

· Oversee Month – end close

· Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and regular reconciliation of general ledger accounts

· Oversee annual insurance renewal in conjunction with directors

· Oversee all financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements

· Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes with actionable business insights

· Ensure accurate and compliant GST and tax reporting, PAYG, Bas Lodgement

· Leading and mentoring a small finance team of 3 direct reporting

· Overseeing compliance, tax, audit and statutory requirements

· Driving process improvement and financial controls

· Ongoing review of all finance procedure and controls with a continuous improvement mindset

· Supporting commercial decision – making across the business
