About the Opportunity:

This is a pivotal leadership role within our finance team, responsible for the financial stewardship of key operating entities. You will be instrumental in managing the financial complexities of a business undergoing rapid expansion and transformation. With a focus on inventory, costing, and revenue recognition, this role is critical to ensuring our financial operations are robust and scalable.

What You Will Do:

Operational Finance Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end finance function for key business units, managing a complex financial systems and processes.

Shared Services Management: Transition, automate and lead shared services function across a portion of the group, taking on board accounts payable transformation and system implementations.

Inventory & Costing Management: Take the lead on all aspects of inventory accounting for tens of thousands of SKUs. This includes developing and implementing robust processes for costing, tracking, and provisioning of stock.

Complex Revenue Recognition: Manage and provide guidance on revenue recognition for our diverse business lines and streams.

Business Performance & Analysis: Partner with the operational teams to provide insightful analysis, reporting, and commentary on business performance. You will be key in driving profitability and efficiency.

Process Optimisation & Internal Controls: Proactively identify and implement improvements to our financial processes and internal controls to support our rapid growth.

Cash Flow Management: Oversee the working capital for the business units, with a particular focus on inventory and receivables. You will also be involved in managing foreign currency hedges for our international customer base.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and business partnership.

Tax & Compliance: Oversee the tax compliance for your business units, including our international tax.

What You Will Bring:

CA/CPA qualification with significant experience in a senior finance role within a manufacturing or stock-heavy environment.

A strong understanding of inventory management, standard costing, and complex revenue recognition.

A commercial mindset with the ability to partner with operational leaders to drive business performance.

A proven track record of operating in a fast-paced, transformative environment.

Experience with mergers and acquisitions, and the integration of new businesses would be highly advantageous.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a finance team.
