I'm partnering with a leading manufacturing brand in recruiting for an interim Financial Controller for their team. The business is a well-known brand with a big presence in the local and international market.
ABOUT THE COMPANY

With good culture and a supportive management, they are now opening their doors to a strong financial controller to lead their APAC market.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The role will be looking after all the facets of accounting and will lead a team of high-performers. This will suit candidates who are both hands-on but also has a broad experience across technical, reporting and analysis, costing responsibilities. You will be reporting to the Finance Director and will be his 2IC in managing the APAC business.
Starting out as an open-ended contract, the role has a potential to be extended or even be converted to permanent for high performers. Due to the critical nature of the role in the team, they are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible or with short notice period.
You responsibilities include the following:
- Prepare Annual Budget and Forecast for ANZ and liaise with APAC for consolidation
- Provide variance analysis and support to the Operations Management team.
- Assist where required in Capital Expenditure submissions and monitoring
- Support in the preparation of information required for Business cases for Acquisitions
- Prepare monthly Board Reports for ANZ and Group
- Responsible for timely preparation and analysis of monthly results including Group consolidation.
- Responsible for Cash Flow reporting, management and Forecasting including improving working capital targets
- Review and approve weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Responsible for management of Annual Returns of Payroll Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax and Workers Compensation Insurance.
- Prepare Annual Tax Return for approval and lodgement
- Facilitate the Internal and External Audit Programs.
- Responsible for checking and authorising supplier invoices.
- Responsible for reconciliation of all General Ledger Accounts across ANZ
- Lead and develop/mentor team
- Complete Performance Reviews are conducting for all direct reports
ABOUT YOU
- CPA/CA qualified. Previous manufacturing experience is an advantage
- Understanding of accounting, company law, legal and statutory requirements.
- Strong systems experience including advanced Excel skills - ACCPAC previous expereince is a advantage
- Excellent Interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to identify, introduce and follow best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team
- Immediately available
