Financial Accountant (Temporary)

$50 per hour + Super

A well-established membership-based organisation is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong accounting foundation looking to contribute to a high-functioning team during a busy reporting period.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be a key support across core financial functions including accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and monthly reporting. You'll also assist with year-end processes and ad hoc projects, contributing to the ongoing improvement of finance operations and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile accounts payable, ensuring invoice accuracy and correct account coding
• Maintain and review general ledger for accurate expense allocation
• Provide monthly debtor reports and variance commentary to the Financial Controller
• Manage staff reimbursements and expense claims
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry into financial systems
• Support internal stakeholders with finance queries
• Assist with monthly and annual reporting requirements
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives

What You'll Bring:

• Degree, diploma or certificate in Accounting, Business or Commerce
• 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Exposure to professional services or membership organisations is advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
• Experience with accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or Oracle JDE
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Great communication skills and a proactive attitude
