We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Accountant for a 2-3 month contract to support an ASX listed business. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of enhancing accounting processes and improving operational efficiency within a dynamic corporate environment while assisting in a year-end project.

About your new role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be an integral part of the project. You will be hands on in supporting the team with with year-end accounting
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited too:

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts in an accurate and timely manner, and in accordance with accounting standards
• Extensive Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Reporting & Analysis of P&L statements
• Assist in the statutory tax reporting
• Assist in external audit preparation/requirements
• Work on projects where necessary as directed by the Financial Controller
• Effective communication with Managers and employees alike from various departments

About you!

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• 3-5 yrs exp in medium to large organisation(s) with a strong understanding of best practices in Accounting
• Demonstrated technical expertise in accounting processes and systems.
• Experience in process improvement and the ability to think outside the box to drive efficiency and innovation.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with business partners and provide clear updates, especially in remote settings.
• A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering outcomes in a timely manner.
