A Financial Accountant is sought by a company to work with the current Financial Controller to assist with month and year end. There is a strong possibility that the role will transition to permanent by the end of the year. This is a great opportunity to gain some industry experience in a leading organisation in its field, with an executive team that is high performing, very driven and passionate about providing the best level of service to their customers.

The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your primary responsibilities involve preparing year-end financial reports and consolidating across numerous entities within the Group.

• Year-end financial accounting and statement preparation
• Monthly consolidations on a national basis
• Preparation of the monthly pack for presentation to the board
• Provide value added commentary of the financial performance of the business on reports
• Liaison with external advisers, ensuring accuracy of data and high quality presentation
• Continuous improvement of procedures and processes to improve efficiency
• Preparation of FBT, BAS etc and liaison with the ATO and working hand in hand with tax advisors
• Key point of contact with auditor

Profile

• Big4/Mid-tier Auditor first time mover would be ideal
  
• Minimum of 3 years experience and close to or have already achieved an accounting qualification CA/CPA
• Team player who works beyond the job description
• Demonstrable strong communication skills
