About Our Client
A well-established and rapidly growing provider of integrated electrical and electronic security solutions is seeking a driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead growth across Sydney’s commercial, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
This is a confidential opportunity to join a technically advanced team delivering end-to-end electrical and security projects — from concept to commissioning — across CCTV, access control, system integration, and ongoing service and maintenance contracts.
About The Role
As the BDM, you’ll manage a portfolio of clients and drive new business opportunities with Tier 1 and Tier 2 builders, consultants, facility managers, and end clients. You’ll be backed by a highly capable design, estimation, and project delivery team, ensuring your focus stays on relationship building, consultative selling, and driving project wins.
In this autonomous, solutions-focused role, you’ll promote:
CCTV, access control & intrusion detection
Electrical and security system upgrades and integration
Preventative maintenance & ongoing service contracts
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships across builders, consultants, and asset owners
Provide consultative sales for both integration and electrical contracting services
Identify and pursue new project opportunities, tenders, and refurb scopes
Collaborate with in-house engineers and estimators on accurate, tailored proposals
Drive strategic growth across NSW with a focus on long-term client value
About You
You’re a technically minded and relationship-driven sales professional who thrives on solving complex client needs and delivering smart, scalable solutions. Whether you're coming from a hands-on trade background and transitioning into sales, or you're an experienced solutions consultant – you bring purpose, confidence, and commercial acumen to every conversation.
Additionally, you will bring:
Demonstrated experience in technical sales, business development or account management
Experience within electrical, security, automation or system integration environments
The ability to sell into construction, infrastructure, education, health, or government
A strong understanding of project-based sales cycles and compliance frameworks
High levels of self-motivation, structure, and a customer-first mindset
CLASS 2 Security Licence (or eligibility to obtain)
Salary & Benefits
$100,000 to $120,000 + Super + Car Allowance + Commissions
