We are seeking a talented and dedicated ICT Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Sydney, NSW. This is a full-time role, approximately 38 hours per week, offering a competitive salary of AUD $75,000 - $80,000.

As an ICT Business Analyst at CCMT College, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our technological infrastructure and optimizing our operational processes to better serve our students and staff. You will bridge the gap between our educational and administrative needs and the technological solutions that support them.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with College Stakeholders: Work closely with academic staff, administrative departments (e.g., student services, admissions, finance), and IT personnel to understand their needs and formulate clear, documented business requirements for new or improved ICT systems and processes within the college environment.

Analyze College Processes: Identify, investigate, and thoroughly analyse existing business processes, procedures, and work practices across various college departments (e.g., student enrolment, course management, resource allocation) to pinpoint areas for improvement.

Optimize College Operations: Identify and evaluate inefficiencies within the college's current ICT systems and related workflows. Recommend optimal business practices, system functionalities, and system behaviours to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in a college setting.

Manage College ICT Projects: Utilise project management methodologies, principles, and techniques to develop comprehensive project plans for ICT initiatives at CCMT. This includes costing, resourcing, and effectively managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with college objectives.

Deploy Functional Solutions for the College: Take responsibility for deploying functional ICT solutions, such as creating, adopting, and implementing system test plans tailored to the college's specific needs. Ensure the acceptable quality, integrity, and seamless integration of new or updated systems within the college's operations.

Develop College Documentation and Training: Create user-friendly and comprehensive documentation, along with effective training materials, for new or updated ICT systems relevant to college staff and students. Conduct formal training classes to ensure successful adoption and proficiency across the college community.

Specify College System Requirements: Develop detailed functional specifications for use by system developers, ensuring that all proposed ICT solutions align with the unique requirements and operational context of CCMT College.

Model College Data and Processes: Employ data and process modelling techniques to create clear and concise system specifications for the design and development of software tailored to the college's data management and operational needs.

Provide Central Guidance: Act as a central reference and information source for ICT-related matters within the college. Provide expert guidance and assistance to college leadership and departments in the system project decision-making process, ensuring informed choices that benefit the entire CCMT community.

What we are looking for:

Proven experience as a Business Analyst for atleast 1 year preferably within an educational institution or a similar service-oriented environment.

Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and tools.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable terms for non-technical users.

Proficiency in project management principles and techniques.

Experience in creating comprehensive documentation and delivering effective training.

A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail.

A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the success of students and staff.

Qualifications in IT, or business is highly regarded.
