We are a newly established architectural lighting company with a vision to transform the built environment through innovative, sustainable, and beautifully integrated lighting solutions. As we embark on this exciting journey, we are seeking a key management team member to take the lead in setting up our Sunshine Coast operations and spearheading our expansion into the vibrant Brisbane market.

About the Role:

As our Architectural Lighting Designer & Sales Specialist, you will play a dual role at the heart of our business:

Design Lead: Bring creative vision and technical expertise to develop stunning architectural lighting solutions for a wide range of projects.

Sales & Business Development Lead: Build our client base, forge strategic partnerships, and drive sales growth as we establish our presence on the Sunshine Coast and expand into Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Lighting Design & Technical Expertise:

Create and present bespoke lighting designs that enhance spaces, blending creativity, functionality, and sustainability.

Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and builders to integrate lighting seamlessly into their projects.

Prepare lighting layouts, technical specifications, and design documentation using tools such as Ground Plan and Programa.

Specify lighting products, technologies, and control systems aligned with project goals and performance standards.

Conduct site visits, assess lighting conditions, and provide technical support throughout project delivery.

Sales & Business Development:

Build strong, lasting relationships with architects, designers, builders, and clients across the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.

Develop and implement sales strategies to establish our brand and grow our market share in Queensland.

Present lighting solutions and proposals that effectively communicate value, design intent, and technical benefits.

Achieve sales targets through proactive business development, lead generation, and client engagement.

Company Growth & Leadership:

Take ownership of setting up the Sunshine Coast operations, working directly with company leadership to define goals, processes, and client strategies.

Lead the expansion into the Brisbane market by identifying new opportunities, building a strong client network, and driving sales.

Contribute to the strategic direction of the business as a key member of the leadership team.

Potential to build and lead a growing team as the business expands.

About You:

Proven experience in architectural lighting design, lighting sales, or a related field.

A creative thinker with a passion for transforming spaces through light.

Strong business development and relationship-building skills.

Confident communicator with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.

Proficiency in lighting design tools (e.g., Ground Plan, Programa, AutoCAD, Dialux, Revit) is a plus.

Based in the Sunshine Coast region (or willing to relocate), with flexibility to travel to Brisbane as the business grows.

A self-starter, eager to take ownership of your work and make a lasting impact.
