Strategically located at 133-165 Kensington Road, West Melbourne, Aquabest has established a strong reputation as a reliable and reputable supplier within the industry.
Due to business growth and increasing complexity in financial operations, we are now seeking a qualified and experienced full-time accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the business, supporting strategic planning, ensuring compliance with Australian tax and regulatory standards, and helping streamline our financial systems as we scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing bank reconciliations and customer payment allocations
Managing debtor’s ledger and the collection process, including negotiation, managing payment arrangements, legal collection procedure
Preparing financial reports and analysis as required by management and provide financial advises to the management of the company
Accessing and reviewing credit application to ensure credit worthiness
Participating in internal and external auditing to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
Jointly working on period-end accounting procedures and BAS/IAS lodge
Contacting with the banks and related agents on behalf of the company for financial and taxation issues
Assisting the process of payroll on fortnightly basis and superannuation
Assisting sales team to review COGS and adjust pricing
Skills:
Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar accounting role
At least bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, or QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of Australian taxation laws and financial reporting standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
