As we continue to grow, we’re seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team and play a pivotal role in our operational and strategic success.

About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with solid experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and project accounting – ideally within the construction or infrastructure sector. Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing project cost allocations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

Manage general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and EOM processes.

Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and support compliance with ATO obligations.

Allocate and monitor project budgets and cost codes in Cheops.

Reconcile and allocate supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding to projects and overheads.

Perform cash flow forecasting, financial variance analysis, and provide insights to support business decisions.

Liaise with auditors and external advisors to assist in year-end processes and tax matters.

Maintain and improve internal accounting systems, procedures, and controls.

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.

Minimum one year experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.

Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, BAS, and project accounting.

Proficiency in MYOB, Cheops, or other ERP/accounting software.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
