Your Next Employer
This privately owned agribusiness is at the forefront of large-scale agricultural development in the Kimberley. With a strong track record of pioneering projects, they’re developing 6,000 hectares of irrigated farmland over the next 3-5 years – reshaping the landscape with a blend of modern farming systems, strategic investment, and good old-fashioned grit.
They’ve already developed 500 hectares, with robust systems and a high-performing team in place. You’ll join a practical, solutions-focused group that values quality, clear communication, and smart decision-making, with the backing to get the job done properly.
The Role
Reporting to the Aggregation Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations of this major farm development project. Your focus will be on managing bulk earthworks, laser levelling, and irrigation development, with hands-on responsibility for site set-out, construction, and the coordination of heavy machinery across a 25km property.
You’ll lead a skilled team of 25+ operators, ensuring smooth communication, efficient workflows, and minimal downtime. Working closely with farm managers and engineers, you’ll contribute practical input into irrigation layouts and earthworks design, particularly for siphon and bankless systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead bulk earthworks, land levelling, and site preparation across a ~6,000ha development
- Oversee day-to-day coordination of 25+ operators and a modern fleet of earthmoving and agricultural machinery.
- Manage Trimble Field Level II GPS-controlled levelling systems and laser buckets to ensure precision.
- Provide practical input into irrigation layouts, including siphon, bankless, and other gravity-fed systems.
- Troubleshoot machinery, oversee maintenance schedules, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Work closely with farm management and engineers on pump stations, channels, and infrastructure.
What You Bring
We’re looking for a confident operations leader with proven experience in:
- Bulk earthworks and land levelling.
- GPS-controlled grading systems (Trimble Field Level 2, T3rra Cutta, or similar).
- Siphon, bankless, or surface irrigation systems – preferred.
- Leading teams in fast-paced, practical environments.
Note: Farm development experience is highly regarded but not essential. Whether your background is in agriculture, civil construction, or earthworks, if you can deliver precise, efficient outcomes in a large-scale setting, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Gain
- Remuneration: $150k - $180k + Super + 6 weeks annual leave.
- Benefits: Family-suitable accommodation, utilities, all meals, work ute, relocation assistance.
- Package Value: Circa $210k - $240k total package (DOE).
- Lifestyle: Live and work in a stunning part of Australia, with a strong local community and access to the Ord River and Kununurra.
