We are currently seeking a Turf Farm Operator to join our dynamic team and help maintain and manage our turf farm operations.

Position Overview:
As a Turf Farm Operator, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the farm. You will be responsible for managing the turf growing, harvesting, and back up delivery process, ensuring our farm produces top-quality turf. This role requires some problem-solving skills, a passion for horticulture/agriculture, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate farm machinery such as tractors, mowers, and harvesters for turf maintenance and harvesting

Monitor and manage turf health, including irrigation, fertilization, and pest control

Perform routine farm maintenance tasks such as equipment upkeep and field preparation

Assist in the harvesting and loading of turf for despatch to customers

Ensure that farm operations meet environmental sustainability and quality standards

Maintain accurate records of fertilizer/chemical application, and equipment maintenance

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize farm productivity

Qualifications:

Previous experience in farming, agriculture, or turf management preferred but not essential

Some knowledge of turf grass or crop care, including irrigation, fertilization, and pest management

Experience operating farm machinery and equipment

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments

Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Hold a current HR Licence

Forklift experience

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 20kg

Ability to work as a team

Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions
