Precise Business Solutions is a well-established software business (celebrating 30 years of success), specialising in the provision and implementation of Epicor ERP software, as well as our own companion software applications. About The Role

As Software Development Manager, you will lead the product development team to ensure the successful delivery of software solutions developed by Precise. This includes:

Promoting team cohesion and teambuilding (across multiple geographic locations) and providing employee coaching, mentoring and career development plans.

Continuously evaluating ways to improve existing and in-development projects.

Providing architectural and technical leadership to the product development team.

Managing product development activities through the entire SDLC by developing & executing product release project plans, managing & prioritising resource schedules, task allocations and budget.

Deploying and executing an AGILE development framework incorporating SCRUM and fortnightly Sprint delivery.

Providing detailed time estimates and scheduling input for software development work order proposals.

Continuously improving departmental processes including coding standards, technical documentation standards, QA processes, build, and configuration management and ensuring that such practices are followed.

Operational responsibility for internal systems, supporting the product development team.

About You

Substantial background working in the software industry, including development lead/manager experience with project management responsibilities.

Extensive experience with developing and delivering n-tier commercial/enterprise software solutions, having managed the full SDLC and shipped at least 2-3 large enterprise products.

Strong communications skills, both in writing and speaking with a demonstrable ability to excite and motivate colleagues, partners and customers.

Excellent negotiation and consensus building skills for internal and external projects.

Strong technical background with extensive software design and development experience in VB/VB.Net, C/C++/C#, SQL Server.

Previous experience with global ERP concepts and systems would be desirable.
