About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and collaborative Assistant Project Manager to work at the intersection of product development, marketing, and sales. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills in both Mandarin/Chinese and English. The ability to work independently and as part of a team with high ethical standards is essential. You will be a key member of our team, contributing value at every level. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the end-to-end development and implementation of new products and brand initiatives, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timelines.
- Lead day-to-day marketing operations and campaign development for active projects, including the creation and execution of brand positioning, product launches, and awareness campaigns.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, milestones, and performance metrics to ensure cost-effective delivery and resource efficiency.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members to foster a collaborative, productive, and high-morale working environment.
Key Duties
- Plan, execute, and finalise assigned projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop marketing strategies and materials to support new products and brand initiatives and enhance visibility in the target market.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication of project progress, risks, and performance updates to team members and senior management.
- Coordinate project resources and ensure responsibilities are met across all functional teams.
- Manage project scope, risks, and change requests, ensuring overall project profitability and minimal disruption.
- Liaise with external providers to monitor planning progress, ensuring scope, timeline, and quality expectations are met.
- Identify and mitigate potential project issues or delays to avoid overruns and ensure smooth delivery.
- Prepare detailed progress reports, briefings, and correspondence on project milestones and outcomes.
- Support team development and productivity through active engagement, coaching, and communication.
About You
Qualifications and experiences required:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, marketing, project management, communications, or a related field.
- At least three years of relevant experience in project coordination, product or brand development, or marketing.
- A strong understanding of end-to-end project delivery, from planning and execution to stakeholder communication and performance tracking, is essential.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple projects on time and within budget.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as the role requires regular collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders. The candidate should be able to clearly present ideas, manage expectations, and foster strong working relationships.
- Understanding of marketing and brand development, particularly in executing product launches, campaign planning, and brand activation—especially into the Chinese-speaking market.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the technical proficiency to analyse data and manage digital tools.
- Proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese language and cultural understanding is highly valued to ensure effective market engagement and communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
