About the role
This is a part-time Accounts and Payroll Officer position based in Laverton North, Victoria. As part of the team at AMtek Solutions, you will be responsible for managing all accounts payable, receivable and asset with payroll functions to support the smooth running of the business.
What you'll be doing
Processing and reconciling accounts payable invoices and payments
Oversee end-to end accounts payable including subcontractor and supplier payments
Maintaining accurate records and documentation for all financial transactions
Preparing and processing payroll for all employees, including calculating leave, superannuation, and tax obligations
Complete accounts receivable tasks such as invoicing, progress claims, debt collection, retention and bank guarantees, including debtor onboarding
Manage the accounts inbox, including invoice distribution and pre approval
Reconcile credit cards and trade accounts using back feeds and statements
Providing support with ad-hoc accounting tasks as required
Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
What we're looking for
At least 2 years' experience in an accounts payable or payroll role, ideally within an accounting or finance function
Previous experience in the construction industry ( an advantage)
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records
Proficiency in using Xero and Aroflo software
Honest, reliable and solution focused
Have the ability to work in a team environment and autonomisly
Must be adaptable and accountable
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
Solid communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with team members and stakeholders
Sound knowledge of Australian tax and payroll regulations
