About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator to support the financial operations of our business as a key team member transitions towards retirement. This role offers approximately 10 hours per week, split over Thursday (6 hrs) and Friday (4 hrs), with a standard start time of 8:30am.

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll functions, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with ATO requirements. Working closely with our internal team, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using MYOB
  
  
• Process accounts payable and receivable
  
  
• Perform payroll functions including superannuation and leave calculations
  
  
• Prepare and submit ATO lodgements (BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax, etc.)
  
  
• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage electronic payments
  
  
• Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting
  
  
• Maintain general office administrative duties as needed
  
  
• Use Microsoft Excel for reconciliations and reporting tasks
  
  
• Collaborate with internal team members for seamless knowledge transfer

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounts administration role
  
  
• Proficiency with MYOB accounting software
  
  
• Strong understanding of payroll processing and ATO reporting requirements
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
  
  
• Confidence using Microsoft Excel for data entry, reconciliation, and basic reporting
  
  
• Familiarity with electronic banking systems
  
  
• Good communication and organisational skills
