The Opportunity
Join a committed Local Government team delivering safe and sustainable water and wastewater services across Central West Queensland. You'll be responsible for overseeing staff and operations across several towns, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and responding to community needs. This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and wants to contribute meaningfully to regional services.

About You
You're a strong communicator and hands-on leader with a plumbing, water treatment, or engineering background. You'll bring practical expertise in water operations and a calm, solutions-focused mindset. Council is open to supporting someone keen to step into leadership and committed to learning on the job.

You will bring:

• Plumbing Licence or Cert III in Water Operations (or higher)
• 8 or more years of experience in water/wastewater treatment plant operations in a supervisory role
• Ability to lead a small team across remote sites
• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills
• Strong understanding of compliance, safety and maintenance systems
