About the Opportunity – Portfolio Coordinator [Fixed-Term till 30th June 2026]
Working as a Portfolio Coordinator within Transformation Delivery means being at the centre of how we deliver incremental benefits across WorkCover Queensland. You’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating a broad portfolio of programs, projects, and initiatives that drive positive change across our enterprise. Your work will help deliver outcomes that make a real difference to our people, customers, and the wider Queensland community.
Supporting both planning and execution, this role is not just about process - it’s about connection, aligning resources, facilitating governance, driving project reporting and financial oversight, and helping delivery teams stay focused on what matters most.
You'll work closely with project managers, business leaders, and stakeholders across the organisation, turning ideas into impact through structured, collaborative delivery. It’s a dynamic and varied role where your ability to bring clarity, influence others, and keep things moving will be key to enabling success.
You’ll contribute to:
Coordinating and supporting project and program delivery across our Transformation Delivery Office and broader Digital and Technology Group.
Driving continuous improvement, governance, and best practice frameworks to enhance value delivery for internal and external customers.
Facilitating the effective use of resources, budgets, and schedules to ensure strategic alignment and delivery success.
Enhancing project reporting, knowledge sharing, and records management processes to improve transparency, efficiency and accountability.
Supporting the execution of governance activities utilising project management tools, while assisting in the day-to-day planning, prioritisation, and delivery of strategic initiatives.
Base salary range of $106,652 - $122,618; plus 12.75% superannuation, commensurate with experience. This is a fixed-term contract opportunity with commencement at the earliest possible date till 30th June 2026.
A bit about you:
You bring 5+ years of experience in portfolio or project coordination/management within complex organisations.
You’re confident navigating both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and thrive in environments that embrace change, lean principles, and innovation – even when faced with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
You’re solutions focused and proactive, using your exceptional organisational skills to manage competing priorities with ease and bring clarity and structure to fast-paced programs, projects and initiatives.
You’re a strong communicator and relationship-builder, able to influence stakeholders, foster collaboration, and promote a One Team culture.
A bit about us:
The Transformation Delivery team sits within our Digital and Technology Group and is passionate about delivering impactful change for the organisation and Queenslanders. We support each other professionally and personally - whether deep in delivery, on a lunch break walk, or sharing travel stories. We celebrate our wins, recognise achievements, and foster a culture of support, shared success, and continuous improvement.
Working in a collaborative team environment within a supportive and engaged organisation, you’ll enjoy a 5-in10 hybrid work model, access to personalised learning and development opportunities and the holistic support of our health and wellbeing program. We offer industry competitive salaries, a generous superannuation scheme (including co-contribution) and study assistance.
