The business is undergoing an expansion nationally and is in a very strong place financially and in their current market position. They specialise in a niche market which is recession proof and flourishing. Sitting in a central location in the Carina region of Brisbane, the business has been in operation for many years, has on-site parking and situated in an industrial area.

The culture is very close knit and friendly with team members you can rely on during busy periods.

Qualifications & experience

  • Accurate data entry
  • Act with a sense of urgency when necessary (ability to pick up the phone to give a customer an update on an order as an example)
  • Take pride and ownership in ones work
  • Must be able to work in a functioning small team environment (everyone helps each other when they need it. It goes both ways. The business would love to maintain this effective and happy working culture).
  • Ability to liaise with personnel on all levels from a director to a service technician
  • A basic knack for numbers (Please know we are not seeking a reincarnation of Albert Einstein! Rather someone who can for example; tell when a product may be too expensive to order, basic addition with a calculator etc.)

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Raising purchase orders with suppliers
  • Liaising with field staff to keep abreast of duties and expenditures
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels
  • Learning and becoming aware of service contracts, agreements and individual working styles (customer accounts)
  • Recording day to day financial transactions
  • Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
