Allaro Homes Cairns is known for delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across the Cairns region and Port Douglas. As our team continues to grow, we are looking for a full-time Accounts / Administration Assistant to join our team. This long-term position offers fantastic job security and stability within a dedicated and successful team. We pride ourselves on professionalism, customer satisfaction and creating a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Salary will be based on skills and experience.

What You’ll Do

As our Accounts / Administration Assistant you will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional service while supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the business. Your day-to-day will include:

Greet and welcome clients, visitors, and staff in a professional manner

Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls

Manage front desk activities, including office supply inventory

Ensure the office is tidy and presentable at all times

Monitor and attend to email accounts

Monitor and maintain currency of WH&S documentation from subcontractors

Assist with data entry and maintaining filing systems

Process incoming invoices and credit notes

Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies

Respond to suppliers, subcontractors and internal queries in a timely manner

Support the Finance team with ad hoc duties as needed

Provide general administrative support to other departments as needed

Other general office duties

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in accounts payable or administrative role (construction industry experience a bonus)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote)

High attention to detail and strong numerical skills

Basic understanding of Accounting Principles would be an advantage

Ability to multitask and prioritise

Reliable with professional appearance and a positive attitude
