This is a unique opportunity for a Development Manager with experience in land and property development to take ownership of critical projects from acquisition to delivery. You’ll be managing multiple stakeholders across government, industry, and community, ensuring high-quality, sustainable developments aligned with public benefit.

- Salary: $146,000 - $160,000 + Super
About the Role:
You will support the end-to-end delivery of designated land and urban renewal projects, including rezoning, master planning, financial oversight, environmental and planning approvals, and stakeholder coordination. Working closely with the Director and internal teams, you will manage external consultants, interface with local councils and approval authorities, and ensure projects meet their financial, environmental, and social targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end development across acquisition, planning, rezoning, approvals, construction, and sales.
- Prepare consultant and contractor briefs, review tenders, and oversee performance.
- Monitor planning instruments including LEPs, DCPs, VPAs, DAs, and WIKAs.
- Lead site investigations and post-implementation reviews.
- Apply financial feasibility models, IRR, cash flow, and triple bottom line reporting.
- Maintain strong communication with local councils, agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, EEO, and probity policies.
- Build collaborative relationships across internal legal, sales, construction, and procurement teams.
- Contribute to strategic performance management, reporting, and continuous improvement.
About You:
- 3+ years’ experience in land/property development or client-side project management.
- Strong knowledge of planning, rezoning, land sales, budgeting, and consultant management.
- Background in property, engineering, planning, architecture, or related discipline.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing timeframes.
- Confident in stakeholder engagement, decision-making, and government policy frameworks.
- Strong working knowledge of the property development lifecycle including site feasibility, planning approvals, and delivery phases.
- Experience working in or with government agencies highly regarded.
