For Immediate Start: Medical Receptionist/Administrator for Specialist Medical Practice. Full Time/Part time/Casual
We are a medical specialist practice looking for the ideal candidate with excellent leadership skills to join us, as we seek to provide the highest quality of care for every single patient.
The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to work in a medical specialist practice in Camberwell and to play a vital role in the smooth operation of the medical clinic.
We are looking for a enthusiastic, keen to learn, dedicated and self-driven medical receptionist and administrator with a passion for high levels of customer service, with the possibility of taking on the role of Practice Manager.
Main Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Arriving patients in a warm and friendly manner.
- Handling patient enquiries and providing accurate information.
- Scheduling Patient appointments and managing patient flow.
- Invoicing and receipting including Cash handling , reconciliation of banking and processing Medicare and Eclipse payments
- Preparation of consultation rooms/ reception area/waiting room.
- Supporting doctors in the initial and final interactions with patients.
- Additional administrative duties/tasks as required by manager, director, doctors and/or nurses
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality
- Assisting with Other Administrative tasks and day to day running of the medical centre
- Opening and closing medical practice.
Who you are?
The ideal candidate must have the following:
- Experience in a medical reception/administrative role is highly desirable but not essential
- Excellent time management, organisation skills and Leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills, an outstanding phone manner which is courteous, warm and empathic.
- Reliable, punctual, committed and a strong work ethic.
- Dedicated , Passionate , self driven individual with Positive attitude with fresh ideas.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently, display initiative and has ability to problem solve .
- Have confidence in computer skills, using Medical Practice software and Microsoft word/office, with some knowledge of medical terminology. A good typing speed will be preferable.
Be available to work shifts that will be between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm and some Saturdays.
